Looking for support with a specific training goal? This one-to-one session is ideal for working on individual skills, practising techniques or getting guidance on a particular area of your dog's training.
Whether you're working on basic obedience, loose-lead walking, recall, settling or other everyday skills, we'll focus on what matters most to you and your dog.
Sessions can take place in person or remotely, depending on your needs and the type of training you'd like to work on. We'll use the time to understand your goals, work through practical exercises and give you clear guidance on how to continue practising at home.
Unlike my training packages, this is a single, standalone session rather than a programme of ongoing support. It's a great option if you have a specific goal in mind, want help refining an existing skill or would like some individual guidance without committing to a package.
If you're looking for more structured support over multiple sessions, one of my training packages may be a better fit.

£325.00
Helping you understand your dog's behaviour, identify contributing factors and implement practical, welfare-centred management and behaviour-change strategies.
Every dog is an individual. My approach focuses on understanding your dog's needs, exploring what may be contributing to their behaviour and developing a realistic, individualised plan that works for both you and your dog.
This is targeted towards dogs with behavioural difficulties and is not basic obedience or training. It focuses on behavioural management and support.
Areas of support may include:
Fear, anxiety and confidence-related difficulties.
Reactivity towards dogs or people.
Separation related problems.
Destructive behaviours.
Frustration and difficulty coping with everyday situations.
Noise phobias.
Enrichment and welfare needs.
Management strategies and monitoring progress.
Risk assessments.
What's included?
1. Free 15-minute introductory call
An opportunity to briefly discuss your concerns, ask questions and establish whether my service is suitable for your dog's needs.
2. Initial behavioural consultation (approximately 1 hour)
An in-depth discussion of your dog's behavioural history, current difficulties, environment and daily routine. Preferably, this will take place in person, allowing me to meet your dog, observe their behaviour in context and discuss your concerns with you in their home environment. However, i understand that this is not always possible, so there are remote options available.
Online or telephone consultations are available when in-person assessment is not practical and remote delivery is suitable for your dog's needs.
3. 30-minute introductory training session + individualised behaviour support plan
Following the consultation, you will receive a 30-minute introductory training session where I will provide you with a written plan tailored to your dog. During this session, I will go through how to implement the practical exercises, and ensure you are comfortable and understand how to put management and environmental strategies in place.
The plan will outline recommended management strategies, practical exercises, environmental adjustments, achievable goals, progress tracking sheets and a risk assessment.
4. 45-minute practical training review (available 2 weeks after introductory training session)
Your follow-up session will take place around two weeks after your initial consultation, giving you and your dog time to start putting the behaviour support plan into practice. This allows you to practise the recommended exercises, build confidence with the techniques and identify any areas you may be finding difficult or need further guidance with. It also gives the environmental adjustments and management strategies time to take effect, helping us assess how well they are working in your day-to-day life.
During the session, we’ll review how you and your dog are getting on with the plan, look through your progress tracking sheets and identify any areas that may need further support. We’ll discuss how the recommended environmental adjustments and management strategies are working in practice, making changes where needed.
Sessions will be tailored to your needs and may include:
Practical coaching: I can watch you work through exercises with your dog and provide feedback, guidance and support.
Demonstrations: Where helpful, I can demonstrate exercises with your dog so you can observe the techniques before practising them yourself.
Review and discussion: We can talk through your dog's progress, address any concerns, troubleshoot difficulties and agree on the next steps.
This session isn't about expecting major changes within two weeks; every dog progresses at their own pace. Instead, it's an opportunity to build your confidence, address challenges and ensure the plan remains practical, appropriate and tailored to you and your dog.
Sessions will primarily take place in person, allowing for practical coaching where appropriate, with remote guidance available when suitable.
5. Three months of ongoing support
Your package includes three months of follow-up support via telephone or video call, giving you the opportunity to ask questions, discuss progress and receive guidance as you implement the plan. As part of this package, you also will receive up to two 30-minute practical training sessions, either in person or remote if necessary, where we can go through the practical elements of the behaviour support plan. These will be booked as and when they are needed.
This support is designed to help you work through the agreed recommendations and make adjustments as needed. It does not include unlimited appointments or continuous availability. The arrangements and reasonable limits for contact will be agreed at the outset.
Appointments and travel
My service is primarily delivered through in-person consultations and practical coaching, as I believe that observing dogs in context and supporting owners as they implement recommendations can be valuable parts of the behaviour-change process.
Home visits and in-person appointments are available within approximately 10 miles of Gainsborough, subject to suitability and availability. Appointments beyond this area may be possible, with additional travel charges agreed before booking.
Telephone and video consultations are also available where appropriate, particularly for follow-up support or cases where remote delivery is suitable.
Working within your dog's needs
Some behavioural concerns require veterinary investigation or specialist support. If your dog's needs fall outside my professional remit, I will discuss appropriate referral options with you. Where necessary, I may recommend veterinary assessment or collaboration with other suitably qualified professionals to support your dog's welfare.

Is this the right package for my puppy?
Puppy Foundations is suitable for owners who want to establish positive everyday skills, understand their puppy's behaviour and build good habits from the beginning.
Every puppy develops at their own pace, and there is no expectation for them to master everything within a set number of sessions. If your puppy is showing more significant fear, anxiety or behavioural difficulties, we can discuss whether additional behaviour support would be more appropriate.
If you're unsure where to start, we can talk through your needs during your free introductory call.

Help your rescue dog settle into their new home, build confidence and adjust to family life at a pace that feels safe and manageable for them.
Adopting a rescue dog can be incredibly rewarding, but settling into a new environment can bring challenges for both dogs and their adopters. Every dog arrives with their own experiences, needs and coping strategies, and it isn't always possible to know their full history.
My approach focuses on understanding your dog's individual needs, establishing supportive routines and helping you recognise what your dog is communicating, so you can build a positive relationship without putting unnecessary pressure on them.
Areas of support may include:
Establishing routines, rest and settling at home.
Creating safe spaces and supporting your dog's need for distance and choice.
Understanding body language and recognising signs of stress, fear and relaxation.
Managing visitors, household activity and new experiences.
Building confidence and helping your dog adjust to their new environment.
Introducing enrichment and appropriate everyday activities.
Establishing foundations for engagement, lead walking and positive handling.
Monitoring progress and identifying when additional support may be needed.
What's included?
1. Free 15-minute introductory call
An opportunity to discuss your rescue dog's needs, ask questions and establish whether this package is suitable for your circumstances.
2. Initial consultation — 75 minutes
An in-depth discussion of your dog's known history, current behaviour, health considerations, daily routine and home environment. We'll explore your expectations, identify any immediate challenges and agree on practical priorities.
This will usually take place in person at your home, where appropriate, allowing me to meet your dog and consider their environment and routine in context. However, I recognise that some rescue dogs may find visitors in the home stressful or overwhelming. Where a home visit isn't suitable, we can arrange the consultation online or, where appropriate, meet in a neutral outdoor space where your dog feels more comfortable.
Where information about your dog's past is missing, we'll focus on what you can observe about their needs and behaviour now, rather than making assumptions about their previous experiences. The format and location will be agreed in advance, based on what is most suitable for you and your dog.
3. Individualised transition plan
You'll receive written recommendations tailored to your dog and household. This will cover suitable routines, rest, safe spaces, management strategies, enrichment and achievable short-term goals to help your dog adjust at a manageable pace.
4. Follow-up session — 30 minutes
We'll review how your dog is settling in, discuss any difficulties and work through practical recommendations together. This session provides an opportunity to adjust routines, develop suitable everyday skills and make changes based on your dog's responses.
5. Progress review — 45 minutes
We'll assess your dog's progress, discuss what is working well and identify any areas that may need further support. You'll receive guidance on next steps and maintaining a supportive environment as your dog continues to adjust.
Appointments and travel
This package is primarily delivered through in-person consultations and practical coaching, allowing me to meet your dog and help you make appropriate adjustments within your home environment.
Home visits and in-person appointments are available within approximately 10 miles of Gainsborough, subject to suitability and availability. Additional travel charges may apply beyond this area and will be agreed before booking.
Telephone and video consultations may be available where appropriate, particularly for progress reviews or follow-up guidance.
Is this the right package for my dog?
Rescue Dog Transition Support is designed for adopters who want to help their dog adjust to a new home, establish supportive routines and build positive foundations for the future.
There is no fixed timeline for settling in. The aim is to understand your dog's individual responses and support their progress without overwhelming them or expecting too much too soon.
If your dog is experiencing more significant fear, anxiety, reactivity or other complex behavioural difficulties, we can discuss whether Behaviour and Welfare Support or referral to another suitably qualified professional would be more appropriate.
If you're unsure which service best suits your dog, we can discuss your needs during your free introductory call.
